Policies and FAQs - Mermaid Entertainment

Subject to change at any time at the sole discretion of Lemonade Mermaid LLC and CMDC.

Safety

The Lemonade Mermaids are fully insured and can provide copies of insurance paperwork upon request.

Mermaids are held to some of the highest safety standards in the industry, and will not participate in or tolerate unsafe behavior or conditions. Unsafe behavior or conditions include, but is not limited to, the following: sexual, verbal, or physical harassment, water temperatures below 70F, dangerous weather, dangerous bodies of water, and events with unsupervised children.

Events that are notified of unsafe behavior or conditions must remedy the issues in a timely manner. If the event is unable to guarantee a continuously safe environment for our performers, they will be instructed to leave and no refunds will be given.

Booking, Refunds, and Rescheduling

All mermaid entertainment bookings done through Lemonade Mermaid LLC and CMDC require a 50% deposit at the time of booking to reserve your mermaid(s). This deposit is non refundable unless we have to cancel on our end - this is the only time any sort of refund will be given. Mermaids are not considered “reserved” unless the deposit is paid. The remainder of the payment must be paid in full on the date specified by Lemonade Mermaid LLC in order to guarantee any mermaids at your event. If payment is not completed in full by the date specified, you will lose your mermaid reservation.

Rates quoted by Lemonade Mermaid LLC are hourly and non negotiable. If your event is 5 hours or longer, we may be able to quote a day fee for you that would eliminate some additional hourly costs.

There is no additional charge to reschedule with us as long as the event remains at the same location, or in the same general area as the original location, and the reschedule date is within a month of the original date.

Mermaid Tank Info

The traveling mermaid tank is currently based in Maryland, and requires at least three additional people to move, operate, and monitor the tank. You will be quoted on the additional costs once we know the location of your event.

The tank also requires an extra day to set up, so it will need to arrive at your location a day early. There should be easy access to water and electricity so the tank can be filled and filtered on site. The tank will need to be placed on a flat area, preferably concrete or asphalt - wherever it sits is where it will be filled AND drained, so make sure you pick a spot that can handle a lot of water around it.

A 50% deposit on the total quoted tank price is required at the time of booking to reserve the tank. This deposit is non refundable unless we have to cancel on our end - this is the only time any sort of refund on the tank will be given. The tank is not considered “reserved” until the deposit is paid. The remainder of the payment must be paid in full on the date specified by Lemonade Mermaid LLC in order to guarantee the tank at your event. If payment is not completed in full by the date specified, you will lose your tank reservation.

Tank rates quoted are non negotiable. Lemonade Mermaid LLC is not responsible for any charges related to water usage because of the tank.

There may be an additional charge to reschedule the tank if your event date changes, so please let us know as soon as possible if this is the case.
